RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- A North Carolina State University employee has been arrested and accused of taking weapons onto school property.

University police on Monday charged Patrick O'Connell of Raleigh with three counts of having a gun on educational property and having weapons in his vehicle.

Police say O'Connell had the weapons at the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Police found a Colt AR-15 rifle, a dagger and two axes in O'Connell's pickup truck.

An unloaded Colt "Delta Elite" 10mm pistol and a loaded Taurus .357 magnum revolver also were found locked in O'Connell's employee locker.

It was not clear if O'Connell has a lawyer.
