Severe Weather Threat Exists For Central NC

RALEIGH, N.C. — An approaching cold front is raising the possibility of severe weather in central North Carolina.

The National Weather Service says the cold front will approach the state on Saturday and move through the region during the night.

Forecasters say scattered strong to severe storms are possible along and ahead of the cold front. They say the primary threat from the front is damaging wind gusts and hail, especially from the afternoon and into the evening.
