Growing N.C. Software Firm Plans To Hire Hundreds

CARY, N.C. A North Carolina company that provides software that helps big institutions like school districts, universities and hospitals to keep up with maintenance and replacement of their buildings and equipment plans to triple in size to more than 600 employees in five years.

Cary-based Dude Solutions announced their plans with Gov. Pat McCrory on Monday. Company CEO Kent Hudson says adding about 400 employees to its current 220 will mean jobs in software development, sales, marketing and customer service.

Hudson says the company is asking for no tax breaks or other incentives from state or local governments.

Dude Solutions instead is getting up to $100 million in investment from private equity firm Warburg Pincus.
