17 Hurt In Raleigh Apartment Fire
RALEIGH, N.C. — Officials say more than a dozen people were taken to a hospital after a fire at a Raleigh apartment.
The fire was reported shortly before midnight Sunday.
Raleigh Fire Battalion Chief David Whitley said eight people jumped from the third floor of the apartment building. There were about 50 people in the building. Officials said 17 people were taken to hospitals. There was no immediate word on their injuries.
It took about 20 minutes to put out the fire. Investigators are trying to determine what started the fire.
