3 Raleigh Residents Charged In Alcohol-Related Death
RALEIGH, N.C. — Three Raleigh residents have been arrested and charged with providing alcohol to a teen before he died in a wreck earlier this summer.
Multiple media outlets reported that 18-year-old Thomas Blake Matthews is charged with buying alcohol for the party. His parents, 59-year-old Charles Joseph Matthews and 52-year-old Kimberly Hunt Matthews are charged with aiding and abetting the consumption of alcohol by minors.
Police say 18-year-old Jonathon Gregory Taylor left the party just before the June 29 wreck. Investigators think Taylor was speeding and under the influence of alcohol when he crashed.
It was not clear if the Matthews have attorneys.
