2 Killed After Train Hits Car In Wake County
MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Authorities say two people have died after their car was struck by a freight train in Wake County.
Investigators told local media outlets that the car was stopped on the tracks in Morrisville around 10 p.m. Friday and appeared to get stuck between the stop arms on the crossing signal as the train approached and could not get out of the way.
Authorities identified the victims as 55-year-old Fiona Hudson and 57-year-old John Hudson of Southern Pines.
The incident remains under investigation.
