Joe Wade Formicola is a familiar voice to many here in the Triangle. His experience in radio spans many years and many top radio stations across the country. Joe may also be familiar to WPTF listeners from his numerous radio and television commercials for top 100 companies.
Joe’s awards and accomplishments include being inducted into the Career College Hall of Fame, in Washington, D.C., the Country Music Association’s Major Market DJ of the Year Award and the Silver Addy Award for radio promotion. Joe has been a member of the Country Music Association’s board of directors, numerous other organizations and was the host of the nationally syndicated show, NASCAR Country.
And outside of broadcasting, Joe has taught classes at Shaw University, Mott College and was an advisor at NC State.
