Brandon is a North Carolina native with broadcast news experience in both television and radio. His broadcasting career began in 2006 at Appalachian State’s college radio station, WASU- The number one college radio station in the country- under the tutelage of Dan “Vallie” Hill.
A sports enthusiast, he worked his way up to be the Sports Director at WASU, broadcasting football and basketball games and hosting a sports show in addition to other duties. While working at WASU and attending Appalachian State University, he interned at a variety of organizations including for the Winston-Salem Dash (minor league baseball team) and WPTF sister station WSJS in Winston.
Shortly before graduating from ASU, Brandon transitioned into television at MTN 18 in Boone, NC as a news and sports anchor, reporter, producer and host. After a quick stop in Wilkesboro, NC at WKBC as a news anchor and show host, he then moved to the Raleigh area to work at WPTF.
Brandon still loves sports, and is a passionate Appalachian State, Carolina Panthers and New York Yankees fan. He loves traveling; spending time with his family and friends and being active.
As the young gun of the staff, he enjoys bringing his youth and energy to the morning anchor desk.
