On Air Hosts
That Cancer Show
Sunday: 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Cornucopia Cancer Support Center presents a forum for conversations about the cancer journey. The host-guest call-in show, called That Cancer Show™, provides the Triangle community an opportunity to ask questions and talk about their personal experiences with cancer.
That Cancer Show™ airs weekly on Sunday evenings, 8-9 p.m.
Each program features a theme associated with dealing with cancer, whether as a patient, survivor, family member or caregiver. The program will feature persons journeying with cancer, local and national experts and others who provide various perspectives on nonclinical cancer care and complementary therapies.
“Statistics show that 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women in the United States will get cancer at some point in their lifetime,” said Mary Lawrence, President and CEO of Cornucopia. “We want to provide a venue to share a conversation with anyone affected by this insidious disease. That Cancer Show™ is an opportunity to reach out to more and more people touched by cancer.”
Lawrence is host of That Cancer Show™ with 680 WPTF's David Richmond. Karen Wolstenholme, a Cornucopia volunteer and former broadcast production manager, is the program’s producer.
Each weekly program will be accessible via podcast on Cornucopia’s website: www.cancersupport4u.org.
