DALLAS (AP) — Unredacted documents related to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy have been released following an order by President Donald Trump shortly after he took office. The documents were posted on the website of the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration on Tuesday evening. FBI says it found 2,400 new JFK assassination records

DALLAS (AP) — The FBI says it’s discovered 2,400 records related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy as federal agencies work to comply with President Donald Trump’s executive order to release thousands of classified files. The FBI said Tuesday that it’s working to transfer the documents to the National Archives and Records Administration to be included in the declassification process. The federal government in the early 1990s mandated that all documents related to the Nov. 22, 1963, assassination in Dallas be housed in a single collection at the National Archives. The majority of the collection has been released. Researchers estimate that around 3,000 files are yet to be released, either in whole or in part.… Continue Reading
