PEMBROKE, N.C. (AP) — Seven motorists have died in a fiery crash in southeastern North Carolina when the car attempted to make a pass on a two-lane road and struck two other vehicles. The state Highway Patrol says all the people who died in Thursday’s accident in Robeson County were in one car. Troopers say the vehicle was traveling westbound when it crossed the center line, sideswiped another westbound vehicle, then collided with an eastbound vehicle. The seven passengers in the passing car were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names are not yet available.
