SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio city at the center of a political furor over Haitian migrants has canceled its annual celebration of cultural diversity after days of violent threats closed schools and government offices. Springfield, Ohio, officials announced Monday that a two-day CultureFest starting Sept. 27 is being canceled because of threats and safety concerns. Springfield gained attention recently after former President Donald Trump and running mate JD Vance amplified debunked claims about Haitian immigrants eating domestic pets and waterfowl. Ohio Gov.
