NEW YORK (AP) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met face-to-face with Donald Trump with public tensions rising between the two over Ukraine’s defense against Russia’s invasion. The GOP presidential nominee is facing accusations from his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, that he is advocating for Ukraine to surrender. But Trump said he and Zelenskyy “both want to see a fair deal made,” while the Ukrainian leader said there needs to be pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
