RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) – With the assistance of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the Raleigh Police Department have made an arrest in a February 22 Raleigh shooting.
Joe Gibbs, 23, was apprehended in Rowan County and faces two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
In the early morning hours of February 22, 2026, Raleigh police officers responded to the 600 Block of West North Street regarding a shots fired call. Upon arriving two victims were found with gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
