RALEIGH, N.C. (NCN News) – This Sunday is NC Pint Day, sponsored by the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild. It’s a day meant to encourage North Carolinians to head out to their local breweries and tap rooms.
Executive Director of the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild Lisa Parker said a big part of the event is the collectible pint glass that the guild has specially designed. “Each year, we put out a collectible, artist-designed pint glass, and we only offer it one day a year. This year it’s available at 108 tap rooms across the state.” This year’s pint glass is designed by artist Sadie Tynch, who is based out of Asheville.
Parker added that it’s a call to go out and have fun – to enjoy both the spring weather and local breweries. It’s also a fundraiser for the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild. $1 from each glass sold goes to support the guild’s work to advocate for, educate and promote the state’s craft brewing industry.
