RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) – There was another incident at Raleigh’s Triangle Town Center Saturday (April 18), about 24 hours after a shooting Friday afternoon.
The Saturday incident involved a fight in the food court around 3 p.m. Mall security was able to break up the fight and all of those involved left the mall.
This as we’re learning more about the shooting at Triangle Town Center Friday (April 17).
Preliminary investigations revealed that three 17-year-olds had come to the mall and confronted a 20-year-old who was working at the mall. After an argument, the mall worker was assaulted by all three juveniles. The subject working at the mall produced a handgun, at which point shots were fired. The person working at the mall and one of the juveniles were injured and remained at the scene until police arrived. Two of the remaining juveniles fled the scene, one of which was injured, they arrived at a local hospital where police were called.
Two separate handguns were discovered by police at the scene.
One of the juveniles was released to a parent. The three remaining injured subjects remained in the hospital overnight for treatment.
This case will be presented to the Wake County District Attorney’s office and Juveniles Court Counselor for potential charges.
Raleigh Police detectives are still investigating the case.
