Ingredients
For the chicken:
- 1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
For the tzatziki sauce:
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- ½ cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (or 1 tsp dried)
- Salt to taste
For serving:
- Warm pita bread
- Sliced tomatoes
- Red onion (thinly sliced)
- Lettuce (optional)
- Feta cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Marinate the chicken
In a bowl, mix the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Combine the yogurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, dill, and salt. Mix well and chill until ready to use.
