RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) –- Two women are in custody in connection with stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from Bath and Body Works stores in the Triangle
According to a release, investigators with RPD’s Crime Reporting Center (CRC), working alongside the Durham Police Department, Wilson Police Department, and North Carolina Probation and Parole, identified two women believed to be responsible for a series of coordinated thefts between January and April 2026. RPD’s Hospitality Unit also played a key role in locating one of the suspects.
The investigation found the suspects were connected to 17 separate larceny incidents involving the theft of candles, wallflower bulbs, soaps, and other merchandise from Bath & Body Works stores in Raleigh and Durham.
In total, more than $8,300 worth of merchandise was reported stolen. The suspects were identified as 35-year-old Beatrice Harris and 32-year-old Latrice Leake.
