NASHVILLE, N.C. (WPTF) – A multi-agency effort has led to the arrest of a Vance County man on a host of drug and firearms charges.

The Nash County Sheriff’s Office announced on social media its involvement in the operation that led to a significant narcotics seizure and arrest in Vance County.
On May 14, 2026, after a long-term coordinated investigation, the Henderson Police Department, Nash County Sheriff’s Office, Vance County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) executed a search warrant in the 300 Block of Little Mill Road in Vance County. T
The operation resulted in the seizure of eight hundred fifty (850) dosage units of heroin, eighty-four (84) grams of fentanyl M30 pills, a semi-automatic rifle, $5,100 in U.S. currency, and various items used in drug manufacturing.
Ta’Shawn Ty’Quaill Baskerville of Henderson, NC, was arrested on multiple charges including;
– 2 Counts of Trafficking Heroin
– 2 Counts of Trafficking Fentanyl
– Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Heroin
– Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Fentanyl
– Manufacture Schedule I Controlled Substance
– Maintain Dwelling Place for a Controlled Substance
– Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
– Possess Marijuana up to One Half Ounce
He is being held without bond in the Vance County Detention Center pending future court proceedings
