OXFORD, N.C. (WPTF) — Some tense moments at the Oxford Wal-Mart. Around 3 o clock Tuesday (June 2), officers were called to the store on Lewis Street on a robbery call involving a suspect using a crowbar to rob the jewelry counter.
According to post on social media by the Oxford police, the store was evacuated. A search was launched for what could have been an armed suspect in the store. The suspect was not found, but police say there is no active to the public as the search for the suspect continues. The store was reopened.
