DURHAM, N.C. (WPTF) – The State Bureau of Investigation and the Durham County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the death of a detention center detainee Friday (June 12)
On Monday, the sheriff’s office identified the detainee as 37-year-old Robert Harris, Jr., of Durham
Durham County Sheriff Clarence Birkhead said that Harris was found unresponsive in his cell and died after being transported to a local hospital.
