Ingredients
For the Salad
- 1 large head romaine lettuce, chopped
- 2 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
- 4 oz deli ham, chopped
- 4 oz salami, chopped
- 4 oz turkey, chopped
- 4 oz provolone cheese, cubed
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ½ cup red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ cup banana pepper rings
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- ¼ cup black olives, sliced
- ½ cup croutons
For the Dressing
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Base
Wash and chop the romaine and iceberg lettuce, then place them in a large serving bowl.
2. Add the Meats and Cheese
Scatter the chopped ham, salami, turkey, and provolone evenly over the lettuce for that classic sub sandwich flavor.
3. Layer the Vegetables
Add the tomatoes, red onion, banana peppers, cucumber, and black olives to create a colorful, crunchy salad.
4. Make the Dressing
In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
5. Toss and Finish
Pour the dressing over the salad and gently toss until everything is evenly coated.
6. Add the Crunch
Sprinkle croutons on top just before serving to keep them crisp.
