RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) — A motorcyclist has died in a single-vehicle crash in north Raleigh early Thursday morning (June 18)
It happened shortly before 3 a.m. at the intersection of Ebenezer Church Road and Lease Lane.
The preliminary investigation determined that the motorcycle operator, Thomas Nguyen, 45, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, causing the motorcycle to leave the roadway to the right. After exiting the roadway, the motorcycle traveled across a ditch and struck several large rocks.
Nguyen was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, he later died from his injuries.
