| DURHAM, N.C. (WPTF) — The Durham Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the American Tobacco Trail near the intersection of Fayetteville Street and Pilot Street Monday (March 9).
According to a Durham Police press release, Durham Police Officers responded to a report of a person stabbed behind the building near Fayetteville Street and Pilot Street shortly after 4 p.m. When they arrived, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released as of Monday evening, and there’s no word on possible suspects. Anyone with information about this incident or that was on the American Tobacco Trail near Fayetteville Street and Pilot Street between 04:00 p.m. and 04:20 p.m. on Monday, March 9 is asked to contact Investigator H.
