SANFORD, N.C. (WPTF) – Lee County authorities have made two arrests in connection with a “trap house,” raid Wednesday (March 11) in Sanford.
According to a social media post, Narcotic Agents with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence located at 2217 Lee Avenue following several community complaints regarding suspected drug activity on the property and a subsequent investigation.
The post is headlined, “Hey Trap House…. Meet the Sheriff’s Office,”
During the search of the residence, deputies located approximately 21 pounds of marijuana in various forms, including raw marijuana and marijuana-infused edibles. Investigators also seized approximately 2,230 dosage units of THC resin/wax and 2 firearms.
Trevor Dion Rader, 34, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana by Possession, Possess with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Trafficking Synthetic Cannabinoid, Possess with Intent to Sell and Deliver Synthetic Cannabinoid, Felony Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoid, Maintaining a Dwelling for Sale of Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Tyrice Nathaniel Artemus Douglas Jr., 20, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana by Possession, Possess with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Trafficking Synthetic Cannabinoid, Possess with Intent to Sell and Deliver Synthetic Cannabinoid, Felony Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoid, Maintaining a Dwelling for Sale of Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Both men were held with no bond due to being charged with trafficking offenses. This investigation is ongoing, and agents anticipate additional arrests.
