CLAYTON, N.C. (WPTF) – One person is dead, a second injured and a third facing charges after an early morning shooting in Clayton Saturday (March 14)
According to a release from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Officed, deputies responded to a residence on Valley Field Drive in Clayton, in the Flowers community.
Deputies located two individuals with gunshot wounds. One victim was transported by EMS, and the other was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This incident is being investigated as a homicide. One person is in custody, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
