RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) – Traffic signal work will impact a key intersection near the Raleigh-Durham International Airport Thursday (March 18).
Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will upgrade the traffic signal near the intersection of Lumley Road and the Interstate 540 ramps near Arco Corporate Drive.
Crews will begin work March 18 at 8 a.m., weather permitting with work concluding late afternoon on the same day.
During the work, the traffic signal will be turned off in all four directions for several hours. Motorists traveling near the intersection should expect delays and are encouraged to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
Four Wake County Sheriff’s Office deputies will be on site to direct traffic and help maintain safety while the signal is offline.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and use caution while in the work zone.
