MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WPTF) – Leaders at Raleigh-Durham International Airport have approved a new budget that means it will cost more for you to park there.
Depending on the lot, prices will increase between 1.50 and $2.50, Economy parking and will increase $2.50 more per day.
The Airport Authority Board approved a combined budget of more than $514 million for the fiscal year beginning April 1. The budget dedicates $155 million to operating expenses and $325 million to capital projects.
The airport is experiencing record demand and continued growth in passenger traffic, with forecasts approaching over 16 million passengers annually. Airport officials say the budget prioritizes infrastructure investments that expand capacity while maintaining operational excellence.
“This budget positions RDU for future growth while continuing to deliver a world-class airport experience today,” said Michael Landguth, president and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority in a press release. “Ultimately, every investment we make will contribute to improving the traveler’s journey.”
