GARNER, N.C. (WPTF) — The Wake County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a man and a woman in connection with reported sexual abuse and child abuse.
On February 20, 2026, investigators received a report of alleged sexual abuse, child abuse, and child neglect that occurred in Southern Wake County.
After an investigation and consulting with the Wake County District Attorney’s Office, deputies obtained arrest warrants for Lacy Hocutt Jr., 34, and Rachelleigh Galasso, 33, on charges related to the investigation.
On Wednesday (April 1), with assistance from the Garner Police Department, investigators took Hocutt and Galasso into custody without incident, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
Hocutt is charged with three counts of statutory rape of a child under the age of 15 and six counts of statutory rape of a child by an adult.
Galasso is charged with two counts of negligent child abuse—serious physical injury and two counts of negligent child abuse—serious bodily injury.
