DURHAM, N.C. (WPTF) – A man was arrested in North Dakota in connection with a November Durham homicide. The homicide occurred on November 2, 2025, along the 6100 block of Guess Road.
The investigation revealed that the wanted subject, identified as Carlos Anuel Medina Robles, was formally charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of the victim, Luis Alberto Flores. As a result of coordinated investigative efforts with the Durham County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division (CID) and the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and U.S. Marshals Service, DCSO was able to identify Mr. Robles and determine his location.
Thursday (April 9), the U.S. Marshals Service located Mr. Robles in Ward, North Dakota. It was there that the wanted subject was taken into custody without incident.
The Sheriff’s department says this was an isolated incident.
Extradition proceedings are pending relative to this specific criminal case.
