RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) – The search for a suspect continues into a Wednesday night (April 22) shooting near Zebulon that left one person dead and several injured.
The Sheriff’s Department has identified the victim in this shooting as 21-year-old Lemonz Feikhem Williams.
Just before 11 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of Mack Todd Road and W. Barbee Street. When deputies arrived, they located two male victims suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. They were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Deputies also located a third victim, an adult male, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and attempted life-saving measures. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additionally, two male victims, one juvenile and an adult male, walked into a local hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
“On behalf of the entire Wake County Sheriff’s Office, we extend our sincere condolences to the victim’s family, and all affected by this tragedy,” Sheriff Willie Rowe said in a statement: “Violence has no place in Wake County, and our investigators will work tirelessly to ensure those responsible are held accountable. We encourage anyone with any information to contact our office.”
