RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) – A child is now in the hospital with life threatening injuries after Wake County deputies responded to a report of a possible drowning near the Neuse River Greenway Trail and Loch Raven Parkway late Tuesday morning (July 7).
According to witnesses, a child was swimming when she went under and never resurfaced.
When first responders arrived, the child had already been pulled from the water. She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Raleigh Police Department, Knightdale Fire Department, and Wake County EMS responded to assist.
