RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) – Raleigh police have made another arrest in connection with a series on incidents over the Independence Weekend.
On July 17, 2026, detectives with the Raleigh Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for 17-year-old Kenna Daughtry in connection with the shooting that occurred at 850 Capital Blvd.
On July 18, 2026, Daughtry was taken into custody in Goldsboro, North Carolina, by the Goldsboro Police Department. She was processed as an adult on the charges and transported to the Pitt County Juvenile Detention Center pending further court proceedings.
Kenna Daughtry has been charged with:
• Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury
• Discharge a weapon into occupied property
• Going Armed to the Terror of the Public
• Possession of a Firearm by a Minor
• Discharging a Firearm Within City Limits
This is the fourth shooting investigation from the July 4th events that has been cleared by arrest. In the four cleared cases, 5 juveniles have been charged. The remaining investigations are 700 Tucker St and 620 West Lane Street are still actively being investigated by detectives.
In a release, the Raleigh police department said it remains committed to holding anyone that commits a criminal offense in Raleigh accountable for their actions no matter their age.
