RALEIGH, NC (WPTF) — For the first time in recent history, WPTF is covering the local High school football scene with the Triangle Gridiron Game of the Week and it’s presented by the Breeden Law Firm.
Starting with the matchup that was previously slated for Friday night, August 21, Millbrook on the road at Garner, the broadcast will begin 30-minutes prior to kickoff. With the weather forecast looking pretty bad for Friday night, officials from Garner have announced the game has been moved to Thursday night, August 20 at 7:00 pm live from Trojan Stadium.
On the call for WPTF is longtime play-by-play announcer, Chris Hooks and Hall-of-Fame running back at North Carolina Central University, Joe Simmons is the analyst of the broadcast.
