RALEIGH, N.C. (NCN News) — Two North Carolina state government employees, a married couple, are facing felony charges after a State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) investigation.
The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services requested the investigation in May of this year, after finding irregularities.
According to a press release, Elizabeth Gayle Heath, 40, is charged with Felony obtaining property by false pretenses. Her husband, Brandon Lee Heath, 43, has been charged with Felony conspiracy to obtain property by false pretenses.
Both have been processed and have appeared for their first appearances. The court will set a date for both cases.
