DURHAM, N.C. (WPTF) — Durham Police arrested one suspect and is seeking a second in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday (June 3), at Elmira Park in the 500 block of Elmira Avenue.
Just before midnight, officers responded to investigate a report of an armed robbery between individuals who arranged to meet and purchase Pokémon trading cards. During the investigation, detectives learned of a similar robbery under investigation by the Burlington Police Department.
Through a joint investigation, detectives from Durham Police and Burlington Police departments identified two suspects believed to be responsible for both incidents. They were identified as Kaire Dixon, 19, of Durham, who was arrested and charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon (3 counts) and Conspiracy to Commit robbery with a Dangerous Weapon (2 counts) related to both incidents.
Arrest warrants for Cheo White, 18, of Durham, have been issued for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon related to both incidents. Investigators are actively seeking information regarding his whereabouts.
