KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WPTF) – Two men have been arrested after an early morning shooting and bar fight in Knightdale Saturday (May 16).

Officers responded around 1:45 a.m. to reports of a shooting at a bar on North Smithfield Road. Investigators say a fight escalated when one man allegedly pulled out a firearm and opened fire.
One victim was struck in the abdomen, while another person was grazed by gunfire. A vehicle parked nearby was also hit by at least one round, according to the Knightdale police department.
The suspected shooter, along with two other men involved in the incident, were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
Joseph Alston. 34. of Knightdale faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, disorderly conduct, and injury to personal property.
William Fuller, 32, of Wendell was arrested and charged with intoxicated and disruptive behavior, as well as affray.
