RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) – Raleigh police have identified a pedestrian struck multiple times and killed early Saturday morning (June 13).
Officers responded to a call for a hit and run motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in the 3300 block of Buffaloe Road.
Upon arrival, officers located Detrick Arnold, 32, dead in the road.
Preliminary investigation indicates Arnold was a pedestrian in the roadway. It is not known if he was crossing or otherwise standing in the road. A large SUV struck him and left the scene outbound on Buffaloe Road. Thereafter, at least one more car then ran over Arnold after he was down in the roadway.
This remains an ongoing investigation.
